Antenna Adapter Blue Wire

Antenna Adapter Blue Wire. Initally i followed the crutchfield directions to connect the two blue wires together and radio reception. I didn't hook it up since i don't have a power antenna.

The antenna cable adaptor has a blue wire and the hu wiring harness has a blue wire marked power antenna. You connect in with a blue or blue/white wire.

The blue/white stripe remote turn on wire has a number of other names such as accessory wire, system remote control wire, etc… this wire is typically for power antenna or factory amplifier turn on, do not get this wire confused with the remote turn on wire with the blue/white stripe.

Do i need to connect the two? I've picked up a scosche haa2b antenna adapter to connect to my new jvc head unit, but the wiring diagram it came with was for the audio harness, and had nothing to do with the antenna.

Connect this to the remote antenna output wire or the amp remote wire from your car stereo (this is normally blue in color or blue/white) if no remote wire is present then connect to an accessory supply or ignition driven supply instead. Here's a picture of the haab antenna adapter.
